Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2027)

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 to 26 years (depending on post)
    Age relaxation applicable as per Indian Air Force rules.

Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

Post / Branch Qualification
Flying Branch (SSC) 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics AND Graduation (3-year) with minimum 60% or a 4-year BE/B.Tech degree.
Ground Duty (Technical – AE Electronics) 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics AND 4-year Engineering/Technology degree in ECE/EEE/IT/CS/Telecom with minimum 60%.
Ground Duty (Technical – AE Mechanical) 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics AND 4-year Engineering degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Aeronautical streams with 60%.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical – Administration) Graduation in any discipline with 60% or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical – Accounts) B.Com or equivalent with minimum 60%.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical – Logistics) Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60%.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical – Education) Post-Graduation with minimum 50% and Graduation with 60% in relevant subjects.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical – Meteorology) Post-Graduate degree in Meteorology / Oceanography / Atmospheric Science / Physics / Maths / Statistics / Geography / CS / IT with 50%.
NCC Special Entry (Flying) NCC Air Wing ‘C’ Certificate and Graduation with 60%, with 10+2 in Physics & Mathematics.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for AFCAT 01/2026 includes:
